MK PanoMachine

Motorized panoramic head

Developed by professionals for professionals.
The PanoMachine version 5.0 Multi-Row sets a milestone in digital panorama photography.

Our PanoMachine is an automatic rotating VR head designed to move itself and your camera from one shot to the next - the camera is released exactly in the right position.
Designed special for cylindrical, spherical and multi-gigapixel panoramas.

Your camera becomes a panorama machine
Most standard digital mirror reflex cameras of Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Fuji, Sony, Olympus, Samsung, Panasonic, Leica, Sigma, Hasselblad and Mamiya are compatible with the MK PanoMachine.
You can use small, light cameras as NIKON D 3000, NIKON D 5000, Canon 550 D, Canon 50 D - the larger models as NIKON D 300s, NIKON D 700 and CANON EOS 5D Mark II - up to the heavier models as NIKON D 3X / D3 as well as CANON EOS 1 DS Mark II / Mark III. Your camera becomes a genuine panorama machine.

Highspeed for little money
Additionally to the production of „normal“ 360° panoramas in the stitching procedure it is possible for the first time to move the camera very fast. Thanks to its fast speed it is feasible to photograph street scenes, city life, people, dynamic landscapes etc. in high quality, without investing into expensive technology and having even more expenses.

At the highest speed the PanoMachine spins full circle in 2 seconds without any stop, the PanoMachine releases your camera position exactly.

How does it work? The device accelerates to the required speed. Then the MK PanoMachine rotates 360° in 2 seconds. Thereafter, the device slows. Done!
The process takes a total time of 4 seconds. This is the fastest possible speed.*

* Depending on weight and release rate of your camera - some models may not allow a very fast release or are too heavy, so that a slower rotation and triggering of the camera may be required.
Please ask us for further details.

Multi-Gigapixel Panoramas with Multi-Row option

The PanoMachine makes it possible to take tens or hundreds of single pictures in 1 row.

The PanoMachine rotates horizontally, for example 120 pictures / 360 ° or 90 pictures / 180 ° and then back to start.

The quick-release lever of the MK PanoGiga allows a fast and accurate vertical up and down (+/- 90°) in up to 5° steps with click-stops.

Exact at startup (0) will begin the next series - all rows!
The same starting point is very important for gigapixel panoramas.

The new multi-row feature is a must to have.

Simple operation - our small robot makes a lot of joy and works exactly. Our PanoMachine is strong enough to hold larger, heavier camera / lens combinations.
Please ask MK for further details (compatibility).

Time-lapse
Discover and arrange the new market of the 360° time-lapse photography as well as time-lapse video. You can make a time-lapse movie for example from one position, moving around 360° or follow the position of the sun - everything is possible due to high-precision positioning of your camera for each image made possible by PanoMachines high-tech engine.

Time-Lapse project

HD Video

The PanoMachine rotates CW or CCW from 4.sec up to 10 minutes / 360° (small pans until many rotations). So you can use the new HD video function of your camera very well.

The world of panoramas & object movies

With the PanoMachine you can create cylindrical, spherical as well as multirow and gigapixel panoramas.
Thanks to the modern firmware the creation of digital panoramas is very simple.
For the production of object movies a turntable is available additionally.

The PanoMachine is a professional tool and a trend-setter.

32-bit HDR photography with the MK PanoMachine

The bracketing range of digital SLR cameras is often limited to 2 or 3 stops.

With the stand-alone Control Promote it is possible to work around this limitation and to create the wider bracketing range required for 32-bit HDR photography.

Bracketing of 0.3 to 9 EV up to 45 shots are now possible.

The MK PanoMachine moves to the desired position and starts the Promote Control and it triggers the camera with bracketing.
This technique allows to create 32-bit HDR images fast and cost-effectively even under low-light conditions.

And a further advantage is mirror lock-up with adjustable delay via the Promote Control.

Mechanical precision - integrated control unit
The PanoMachine has an exellent design with a metal chassis, an integrated control unit - steered by means of an infrared remote control (optional).
Not necessarily affect the housing. The PanoMachine - a professional tool.

With the PanoMachine shooting a 360° panorama is very fast and repeatable.
The PanoMachine turns faster and with more precision than „by hand“.
Multiplying panoramas is very simple - just press the button, the work is done by the machine.
So taking several rows with different inclination of the camera in order to built spherical panorama (Multi- Row) is really easy.

Shooting objects for object movies is as simple as making panoramas. Just press the button…

All the actual D-SLR cameras can be used. Releasing the camera can be done in two ways:
– by a shutter release cable
– by an infrared signal

The programs of the PanoMachine are excellent

Panorama, Turntable, Time-Lapse, Video, High-Speed, Intervalo and Custom Mode - the instructions are clear and co-ordinated:
Rotation speed, degree of the image, direction of rotation, release, pauses before and after each shot, engine power, back to start, optional bracketing and so on... everything developed for creative, photographic work.
You can program the PanoMachine to repeate e.g. 360° panoramas automatically.

The intervals can amount to seconds, minutes or hours, e.g. you can make a complete panorama each 10 minutes - during 5 hours - without any action required. It can work on its own for hours or for days if you connect it to an external power supply.

The PanoMachine is designed to work as an automatic device but you can also use it as a semi-automatic device - rotation is automatic and press the release can be done manual.
The PanoMachine will wait for you to make each shot.
The PanoMachine can be started by an infrared remote control, a wireless transmitter (up to 30m or 100m), a start / stop button at the front of the housing and by a start release cable. An adjustable timer is also integrated.
The head can be turned easily by hand to begin process at the position of your choice. At the end of the process, the head will go back to its initial position or remains in the final position.

The screen of the PanoMachine is highly visable with back lit display (dimmable) – good for indoor & nightlife photography.
Onboard bubble level for horizontal alignment.
The rotating head is equipped with a 3/8“ and 1/4" thread (lower surface) and a 3/8" and 1/4" screw, so that one can change the brackets very well.
